PUREMATRIX™ Technology

Dual-Network Cross-Linking

PUREMATRIX™ is the dual-network cross-linking technology behind the Voleria® hyaluronic acid gel range. During cross-linking, two distinct HA networks — a flexible network and a dense network — are formed and interconnected into a single uniform gel. The same platform is calibrated into three consistencies: Fine, Mid and Deep.

Why cross-linking matters

Hyaluronic acid in its native form is a viscous fluid. Cross-linking — the chemical bridging of HA chains into a three-dimensional network — turns it into a gel with a stable structure and a defined texture. The properties of the finished gel — its softness, its density, its uniformity — are set at the reticulation step.

Formulating a cross-linked gel is therefore a matter of balance. Too dense, and the gel becomes rigid; too soft, and it loses its body. PUREMATRIX™ approaches this balance by combining two networks, each with its own role.

The dual-network architecture

Network A — the flexible network

The flexible network is an open HA network. It gives the gel its softness and smooth texture.

Network B — the dense network

The dense network is a compact HA network. It gives the gel its body and structure.

The interconnected PUREMATRIX™ network

During the reticulation phase the two networks are chemically interconnected rather than simply blended. The finished gel is a single dual-phase matrix with one uniform texture.

Reticulation: how the gel is built

PUREMATRIX™ gels are produced under monitored temperature, pH and ionic strength. Controlling these three parameters through the reaction governs where cross-links form and how uniformly each network develops — which is what produces a stable yet supple gel.

What PUREMATRIX™ Technology ensures

One technology, three consistencies

PUREMATRIX™ is the common platform beneath the entire Voleria range. The calibration of the two networks — their ratio, density and interconnection — is what differentiates the three consistencies.

FAQ

PUREMATRIX™ — frequently asked questions

What is PUREMATRIX™ technology?

PUREMATRIX™ is the dual-network cross-linking technology used across the Voleria® hyaluronic acid gel range. It forms two distinct cross-linked hyaluronic acid networks — a flexible network and a dense network — that interconnect during reticulation into one uniform gel.

What does dual-network cross-linked hyaluronic acid mean?

It means the gel contains two interconnected HA networks created in the cross-linking (reticulation) step: an open, flexible network and a dense network. Together they behave as a single dual-phase gel.

Why does cross-linking density matter?

Cross-linking density determines the texture of a gel. Too dense and the gel becomes rigid; too soft and it loses its body. PUREMATRIX™ targets a controlled cross-linking density for a uniform gel without stiffness.

Which products use PUREMATRIX™ technology?

All three Voleria consistencies — Fine, Mid and Deep — are produced with PUREMATRIX™ dual-network cross-linking.
