PUREMATRIX™ dual-network technology explained

Dual-network cross-linking is a manufacturing approach in which two distinct cross-linked hyaluronic acid networks — one open and flexible, one dense — are formed and chemically interconnected during reticulation. The finished gel behaves as a single dual-phase matrix that combines the texture of both networks.

Why a single network is one dial

In a homogeneous network, cross-linking density is a single setting: increase it and the gel becomes denser and stiffer; decrease it and the gel becomes softer and looser. One network can only sit at one point on that scale.

The dual-network idea

Build two networks with different architectures — an open, flexible network and a dense network — then interconnect them chemically so they behave as one material. Each network contributes its own texture to the finished gel.

What happens during reticulation

Temperature, pH and ionic strength control where cross-links form and how uniformly each network develops; the interconnection step bonds the two networks into a coherent whole.

PUREMATRIX™ in the Voleria® range

PUREMATRIX™ is the dual-network platform used across the Voleria® range. The ratio, density and interconnection of the two networks are calibrated into three consistencies: Voleria Fine (soft), Voleria Mid (balanced) and Voleria Deep (dense).
